Sometime this year, we taxpayers will receive an ' HST Compensation'' payment.
This is indeed a very exciting program, and I'll explain it by using a Q & A format:
Q. What is an 'HST Compensation' payment ?
A. It is money that the provincial government will send to taxpayers.
Q.. Where will the government get this money ?
A. From taxpayers.
Q. So the government is giving me back my own money ?
A. Only a smidgen of it.
Q. What is the purpose of this payment ?
A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.
Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?
A. Shut up.
Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the economy by spending your compensation cheque wisely:
* If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China or Sri Lanka ...
* If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.
* If you purchase a computer, it will go to India , Taiwan or China .
* If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico , Honduras and Guatemala ..
* If you buy an efficient car, it will go to Japan or Korea ..
* If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .
* If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.
Instead, keep the money in Canada by:
1) Spending it at yard sales, or
2) Going to hockey games, or
3) Spending it on prostitutes, or
4) Beer or
5) Tattoos.
(These are the only Canadian businesses still operating in Canada . )
Conclusion:
Go to a hockey game with a tattooed prostitute that you met at a yard sale and drink beer all day !
No need to thank me, I'm just glad I could be of help.

The Torch
What can I say.... I'm a olympic nut...
I lined the streets today and froze my sack off and waited over and hour for the torch to come by. I went with the kids school, and helped. I have to take my hat off to the guy who ran the torch, I wouldn't let any touch mine. but he was good and handed it over. The kids didn't understand until they saw it, and realized it was a big deal. I explained everything, they undertsood. GREAT JOB PARKHURST MOTORS 2000 hotdogs... 2 freakin' thousand.
Family: Kids are getting so excited for Christmas... me too I love the family thing. I have to say that Jeanine and I have a great marriage and I love being around. The kids are pretty good, they have their moments.
Referee: Well go some great news as I was invited to the Holiday Classic. The money is good but what I'm looking forward to is the company. With some pretty good guys, and should be fun. Away from the kids for 5 days is a bit much.... but $$$$.
THAT'S IT FOR NOW.......
NEWMAN
as my Brother put it... "did you ref Battle of the blades" ..... I hate my brother

Hey Fellow bloggers,
Well another busy weekend on the ice starting off with a Midget/minor midget back to back. Then immediatly off to Junior.... Kids are going to miss me and I will miss then but then, they get it went I come home with a pocket full of money. What pisses me off is hoe referee's still try to top each other... I started this 2 years ago, where I just stopped caring what other people thought. 3 seasons ago Donnie Carr pulled me aside and gave me the run down of WHY I was moving or getting choice games. One thing I could always count on was the honesty of Donnie. He directed me on my path now, and I haven't looked back. The only thing that still bothers me is how, this OJHL still gets thrown in my face. Everytime someone needs direction... I offer my comments, never telling anyone what to do just suggestions and BAM.... "oh mister junior referee" or "WNOHAO". I accepted long ago that I wasn't by far the best referee in town, but as one young kid put it "You're Hardcore". Maybe I am, but I live and die by my track record and by where I am in the officating world.

The Blog #1
....Nov 17, 2009
Hello my Friends and after all these years we are
friends ... are we not.
I ALWAYS have something to say, sometimes not a way to yell them out and carry on.
The Kids are great, growing and funny as hell. If you can believe it they have my sense of humor and Jeanine's imagination. The kids tried hockey this summer and sad to report..... they hated it :(. Oh well, not going to push
The job front has been great and I'll tell you... one of the greatest jobs I have ever have. For those who don't know, I now work at E-djuster.
www.e-djuster.com
I am what they call a Loss Claims Specialist, basically, I record data and find replacement cost for items lost in fires, floods etc.
2009-10 season for Refereeing this has exploded out of the gates this year. A great number of Junior games (OHA) which makes me happy. Oh another front I was approached and signed with the PWHL, CWHL, CIS and made the "Elite" list of officials of OWHA. The sad part is that I have only gotten 3 games in Belleville, and have to travel. Jeanine traveled with me to Brampton for my first game and I got to work with some great officials.

Love the intensity up there. The only person I know is a guy from Kingston and I haven't worked with him yet.

(Bruce is right... I need to lengthen my pants)
It's funny that I have to leave town only to get what I can only guess is respect. Not that I'm complaining I made the bed I sleep in and I'm sure I have pissed more people off that I have made friends. Another official commented to me the other week that I have changed and wish I would change back.
Here are a couple of OHA Tier II games I lined in..
Well Folks... that's it for today.... I'm gonna try and find some format for this blog so lots of changes.....
